Caithness Motocross Club

Caithness Motocross Club (CMXC) is the most northerly motocross club in the British mainland.

The club has progressed from its grass roots in the early seventies where "Scrambling" took place around the county in fields of various terrain. Over the years it has had annual visits to the Orkney Islands for inter club championships and had riders from across the country travel to compete in its events. In the mid eighties it even successfully held a Scottish Schoolboy Championship Race!

To keep pace with the nature of the sport the club has had to evolve which is reflected in its current aim to offer a permanent modern venue for Motocross practicing and racing throughout the year for its members.

The clubs primary objective today is to safely promote the off-road sport of Motocross to all ages. This comes under the guidance of the governing body of motorcycle sport in Scotland, MCFederation), to which we are affiliated.
