MX Master Kids 2018

The event will take place under the rules of the MC Federation, Motocross Standing Regulations, Code of Practice and the Event Supplementary Regulations.  The event will take place on 5th, 6th & 7th May 2018 at Mildenhall Motoland UK, Crooks Drove, West Row, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, IP28 8QL.   Riders must hold a current valid MC Federation licence or take out a one event licence at a cost of £15. One event licences are not covered under the MCF Personal Accident scheme.

Event Classes

Auto; 6-8 Yrs - Maximum 50cc 2 or 4 stroke automatic no manual clutch or Max 8KW Electric - 12 inch rear, 15 inch front.
65cc; 7-10 Yrs - Maximum 65cc 2 stroke or 110cc 4 stroke or Max 8KW Electric - 12 inch rear, 14 inch front.
Small Wheel; 9–12 Yrs - Maximum 85cc 2 stroke or 150cc 4 stroke - 14 inch rear, 17 inch front.
Big Wheel; 11 – 15 yrs - Maximum 85cc 2 stroke or 150cc 4 stroke - 16 inch rear, 19 inch front.
Rookie; 13 – 18 Yrs - Maximum 150cc 2 stroke - 19 inch rear, 21 inch front.
Rookie; 14 – 18 Yrs - Maximum 250cc 4 stroke - 19 inch rear, 21 inch front.

Event Format

The gates to the venue will open at 1400 on Friday 4th May.  No riders will be given access before this time

Signing on for the event will take place from 1800 -2000 on Friday 4th May.  Signing on will re-open at 0700 and close at 0845 on Saturday 5th May.  The first qualifying session will commence at 0900 on Saturday 5th May.  Helmets must be brought to signing on to be checked

The following programme will be followed over three days of racing.

All riders participate in a qualifying session then compete in 5 races over the three days of the event

Qualifying: Auto, Junior 65cc, Small Wheel, Big Wheel, Rookie

Racing: Auto A, Auto B, Auto C, 65cc A, 65cc B, 65cc C, SW, BW, Rookie.

All riders must be in the waiting zone 5 minutes prior to the start of their race

Riders are deemed to be under starters orders when the green flag is shown

Any rider that experiences a mechanical problem can raise their hand and the start will be delayed for 2 minutes.  If the problem cannot be rectified the machine must be pulled back from the line.

Additional to Motocross Standing Regulations:

There will be a specified pit-boarding and mechanics area which only one representative from each rider will be allowed in. A wristband will be issued to the representative.  You must be over 16 years old to enter the mechanics area

Machines are NOT to be ridden in the paddock at any time.  Your attention is drawn to the serious consequences that could arise from an accident caused by unauthorised riding in the paddock.  Liability for any claim may rest with the owner of the vehicle and the driver [or parent/guardian in the case of a minor]

Generators must be switched off by 11pm and not started prior to 7.00am each morning

Dog must be kept on a lead at all times during racing

No open fires of any type are permitted within the paddock

No Go-peds, paddock bikes or any other powered vehicle to be ridden in the paddock at any time

The dumping of waste products, be they human or mechanical, in unauthorised area’s/facilities is strictly forbidden.  Facilities are provided for emptying chemical toilets.  All waste oils must be contained by working on motorcycles on rubber backed mats and waste oils to be taken away by the competitor’s in their own containers.  Tyres are not to be placed into the skips provided and are the responsibility of the competitor

Parents are responsible for the behaviour of their children in the paddock.  Parents will be expected to supervise their children and monitor their behaviour.  Anyone causing damage to the venue or any of the surroundings will be asked to leave the event with no refund of entry fee

It is a condition of acceptance of entry that the promoters, and or MCFederation, is not responsible for any damage to any motorcycle or its accessories, transponders, whether by fire, accident or any other cause, nor for theft of a motorcycle or its accessories during a meeting

Trophies will be awarded to all riders.
