About the MCF

MCF Memberships Ltd / MCF Sports Ltd

The MC Federation (MCF) is an exciting and innovative organisation which understands the requirements for organising motorsport events. We know that the running of club events is more than just booking in and making sure you have the right insurance. We aim to provide you with all the tools you need to plan, organise, promote and run a safe, successful and enjoyable event.

The MCF has been created to not only stage leading events but to support and sanction all forms of motorsport related competition and practice. Our no-nonsense and approachable way of thinking is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise staid market full of red tape. We are here to listen and understand the requirements of each club and organisation that are keen to join the MCF – after all, every club is different and therefore needs to be treated as an individual case

With a long-term vision to make motorsport more accessible and recognisable to people outside the realms of motorcycling, the MCF will continue to develop strong foundations for each club to grow at a manageable pace.

THE MCF IS HERE TO STAY!

Just have a look around the website, read up on the information in the tabs below and you will see exactly where we are coming from.

The MCF are keen to explore every possible angle that assists in the smooth running of staging a modern day event, and with today’s constant source of immediate and cost effective communication, why shouldn’t we benefit from technology!

Through our membership database clubs have easy access to both e mail and text messaging services, allowing them to keep in touch with their members.

If you are looking to start up as an organiser, or move up through the ranks of the club there is always someone on hand at the MCF office to help you through the process. Keeping abreast of all of that is required of an event organiser puts us in the ideal position to assist with advice and training.  We all understand that the sports that we have chosen to be a part of are exciting sports but as such carry a certain level of risk and we work hard with you as an organiser to minimise those risks as much as possible without stifling the adrenalin and excitement for both organisers and competitors alike.

The staff in the MCF office is there to look after the MCF clubs and organisers. All new clubs receive personal visits to discuss their individual needs and to be led through the paperwork which is unfortunately part and parcel of running any type of event these days, whether it’s a Motorcycle Event or Village Fete. Many members of the MCF staff have been involved in running events at all levels and understand the pressure on an organising club, with this in mind everything possible has been put in place to minimise the burden on volunteer club personnel.

We work closely with club officials to ensure that they understand the responsibilities of their relative positions and fully understand the obligations with regard to such things as health and safety issues, making things as effortless as possible. The friendly MCF staff is on hand in the office between nine in the morning and five in the afternoon to answer any queries that you may have.

The permits are issued at a minimal cost of £49:00 per event and under the authority of NORA 92 Ltd.

OFFICIALS TRAINING

During the season the MCF will work with its member clubs to conduct training for their major event officials.
Mutually acceptable arrangements will be made with clubs for a member of the team to conduct the training and at no cost to the club or official.

COURSE CERTIFICATION
On request from a club, an MCF official will arrange to visit tracks and advise on layout and safety requirements prior to events. These visits will take place along with a club member giving the opportunity for us to keep in touch with our organisers and discuss any club issues that may arise.

The MCF Club Database

Over the years of the MCF we've developed an online data management system that helps ypu to manage all of your memberships, entries, race schedules and licences – it can be used to automatically email your members with important information and there is a text option through the office. This service is available to all of the MCF member clubs and will massively reduce the hours needed from a club secretary.

Each club has its own dedicated area of the MCF database from where they can draw their members information, they then have a system that allows them to keep in contact with its members through a number of mediums: Email, text and good old mailshots.

Text Service
The system will allow you to write one text and contact a choice off your entire membership or just the riders entered into any event that you chose, just contact the office with up to 160 charachters and the text will be sent on the clubs behalf.

Email Service
With the text service, you can contact your members or entered riders without having to contact the office. A simple to use Email system, type one Email and send it to multiple recipients, is all a part of the clubs database.

Event Organisation
The system will allow you to create your events and manage the classes for that event. From your members information you can enter them in to any event at the click of a button, the system will even produce your signing on sheets listing riders licence numbers and class.

We can also work with you to enable you to take entries directly in to your events with riders making credit card payments through the MCF office. You will be able to track the entries through your database from anywhere that you have an internet connection!

If you would like to find out more about how the system works, or maybe even arrange a demonstration for your club committee, then simply go to the next steps tab and fill out the form.

As you will see on the website, clubs also have the opportunity to log in and submit news stories and race reports to be uploaded to their individual pages as well as on the main news page.
