
The race for the 2012 Official sanctioned MCF British Dirt Track Championships just got hotter with new venues announced alongside the “SUPER FINAL” event for the top riders staged after the Final round at Coventry on the 27th October.
The QUADZILLA sponsored QRA British Quad Oval Championships is in its 21st season is the “toughest ever” and now with the top 10 racers lining up in the SUPER FINAL event as part of huge event to close the season, competition will be as hot as ever.
Joining the Quads in the SUPER FINAL will be the top 12 of the Welsh Pitbikes British Dirt Track Mini Bike Championships which has seen some of the UK’s talented off road motorcyclists competing on the pint sized machines against specialists of this form of racing, the action has been epic to watch, with drama on every bend
The riders in the SUPER FINAL will compete for the minimum prize pot of 1st £150. 2nd £100. 3rd £75. 4th £50. 5th £25 plus spot prizes from our partners Stomp, TENG, Duck Smart etc.
The next round of the championship takes place on Saturday 21st April, which is round two of six and takes place on grass land at Idover Lane, near Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire 8 miles from junction 16 off the M4.
Exciting news will be announced shortly with regards to the M & S Truck Rentals British Dirt Track Solo Class with regards to round 2 but for now ‘mum’s the word’. The Dirt Track Solo class is open with riders on 250-500cc machines with no brakes competing for championship points on their slider frames.
Round 2 of the series is also open to an MX open class, for racers wanting to take part on their Moto Cross machines and an Elite Youth Quad class
As is the case with each of our events they are always open to riders who want to do just the one event, you don’t have to be in or do the whole championship, and it is always interesting to see visitors mix it with the championship contenders, or those trying the discipline for the first time who more often than not come back to race again with us.
An exciting mix of venues have been lined up for the remainder of the series, with some great new tracks for spectators and riders to enjoy with the plush Coventry International Speedway season Hosting the Grand Finale.
The dates for the remaining rounds of the championship are;
21st April Rd 2 at Idover Lane, near Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire SN15 4AT - grass oval’ish
8th July Rd 3 at Swindon Speedway Stadium, Blunsdon, Swindon, SN25 4DN - shale oval
22nd July Rd 4 at Rye House Speedway Stadium, Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire EN110EH - shale oval
5th August Rd 5 at Stoke Speedway Stadium, Loomer Road, Chesterton, Staffs. ST5 7LB - shale oval
27th October Rd 6 at Coventry Speedway Stadium, Brandon, Coventry CV8 3GJ. 12 - 5pm. - shale oval
