Alright Gang?!

Sorry for the radio silence as it were. Been slacker than an old man's scrotum (why is something like that in my head?!) with the old blogging. Anyway back now and on the case.

Part of the reason I haven't been blogging is because there's been so much going on. Sounds crazy I know but with the Red Bull Pro Nationals becoming as successful as they have and the MC Federation seemingly growing by the second we've all been a bit rushed off our feet. Victims of our own success at the moment but that's all good.

We're now in the early stages of planning for 2011 and where we are going with the Red Bull Pro Nationals. It's exciting times that's for sure. The general feel is that we're ready to take it up another considerable notch and really make all three championships the best domestic series throughout Europe, whilst of course not losing sight of why we all do it....because it's fun.

When I stop to think (which isn't that often these days I have to admit) it's quite rewarding to know that I've been part of something that is really making a difference to British motocross. Like now I'm co-commentating with Justin Morris it's really hit it home just how good this sport is and how we do genuinely have so good talent in the youth ranks in the UK. I really do think the Red Bull Elite Youth Cup is giving the kids a great opportunity to improve and hopefully we'll start producing some talent that will be running near the front in World motocross.

Then there's the Fuchs-Silkolene 2 stroke championship riders. How good has that championship been thus far?! I'll tell you....bloody brilliant! Long may that continue too. Add that and the youth to the pros and it's just a great weekend. It's easy to argue that I'm biased and it's my job to say this but truly from my motocross heart I think it's great. I'd say the same thing if I wasn't involved or not.

Yeah, something tells me 2011 is going to be a big year for the Red Bull Pro Nationals and the 'Great' will be really put back into British motocross. We still have the rest of this year to get through yet as well! Up and at em...it's evolution baby!
