The 2010 Red Bull Pro Nationals motocross championships gets underway at one of the most iconic venues in World Motocross on the weekend of the 13th/ 14th March. The famous motocross facility has the honour of holding the opening round of this ground breaking new race series from the MC Federation as Red Bull invest into the future of the sport here in the UK.
For those who attended the Red Bull Pro Nationals in 2009 you’ll know what the events are all about as they burst onto the scene last year. Well for 2010 expect them to be bigger and better, 2009 was just the start of something big. As the championship moves into its second year the MC Federation have really gone to town as they set out to make this the most dynamic motocross series not only in the UK but in Europe.
This year the MC Federation’s two other championships – The Fuchs-Silkolene 2 stroke British Championship and the Red Bull Elite Youth Cup have been incorporated into all rounds of this innovative series. It’s simple really, the two day, all weekend festival events will be branded the Red Bull Pro Nationals and the best motocross talent in the UK from the kids of the 65cc class, to the hard charging to 2 stroke riders right through to the top pros will all be there gunning for their respective championships over the eight rounds.
The racing will be hot and if that’s not enough they’ll be live bands over both days as well as the music from the Red Bull Event vehicle. They’ll be a live FMX tour at every event, the giant TV screen with live feeds, a motocross try out area for all new comers to the sport, a brand new hospitality area and even Red Bull Pro Nationals series merchandising as the series develops.
This series caters for the best motocross talent that the UK has to offer and they’ll all be keen to get off to a good start in their quest to be the best. Championships aren’t won at the first round but they can easily be lost and tension and anticipation will be high as the main protagonists look for a good, solid start to their campaign and quest to become the champions of their class. With the fierce steep up and downs that Foxhill has to offer thrown in the mix it’s going to be barnburner not to be missed. So make sure you don’t!!
