You say you want a revolution,
Well, you know we all want to change the world.
You say you got a real solution,
Well, you know we'd all love to see the plan.
You ask me for a contribution
Well, you know we're doing what we can...
We quoted the famous Beatles song ‘Revolution’ last year as a call for change to the British motocross scene. Well now ‘the revolution’ is underway and the masses have voted with their feet! The Red Bull Pro Nationals are the future of British motocross. This fresh, exhilarating series brought together the cream of UK motocross talent over six weekends in 2009 and they were a huge success for the MC Federation, fans and racers alike. There is no future stars, they are right here, right now! The UK’s top MX1 and MX2 go head to head and hard at it over two gruelling motos on the best prepared tracks in the Great Britain to become the MX1 and MX2 Red Bull Pro Nationals champions come the final round on the 19th September. Will Carl Nunn retain his MX1 title? Will anyone dethrone Neville Bradshaw as the MX2 champ? Either way it’s going to be a barnburner!
So don’t rely on Robbie Williams’ big come back to ‘entertain you’ this year when you’ve got nine amazing motocross festival weekends that will make you feel good about yourself and what we at the MCF believe is truly the ‘King of Sports’. They’ll be so much going on from our regular FMX tour that travels around with the series, to a motocross try out area for those who want to take their first steps in becoming a motocross hero like today’s stars. We’ll have live bands over both Saturday and Sunday, VIP Hospitality packages, Trade Village, Kids zone, series merchandising – virtually everything you’d expect of a music festival but with the difference being the Rock stars are the racers!
With plenty of the UK’s top motocross venues on the tour, our desire to create a festival feel coupled with the best racers in the country will give the Red Bull Pro Nationals a rockin’ n’ rolling vibe as they sweep across the land. Think of it as the circus coming to town like the good old days only this is way, way more exciting and with very different types of animals on show – the racers!!
So what makes the Red Bull Pro Nationals different to other UK Motocross events?
For 2010 all nine rounds of the Red Bull Pro Nationals will incorporate the Red Bull Elite Youth Cup and the Fuchs-Silkolene 2 Stroke Championship making them an action packed, full weekend racing programme. This will help the sport to develop, not only for the ability of racers themselves but also for the sport as a medium. Quite simply this is where it’s at when it comes to British motocross, so why go elsewhere? The Red Bull Pro Nationals are a unique blend of youthful exuberance and experience. Novocaine for the motocross soul!
