RED BULL ELITE YOUTH CUP

Restless souls enjoy your youth.
Young souls unite, we got ourselves tonight.
I am fuel, you are friends, we’ve got the means to make amends,
I am right by your side...drop the leash, we are young, we are young....

The Red Bull Elite Youth Cup has been a shot in the arm for youth motocross. It’s a series that nurtures the incredible motocross talent we have in the UK and is 100% ‘down’ with the kids. Now into its third year the Red Bull Elite Youth Cup has undoubtedly raised the bar within the British schoolboy racing scene and the racing has been every bit as exciting as any pro race can offer. The mini warriors of the 65cc class right up to the young men of the Elite Rookie class all have the opportunity to showcase their talents in a series organised by a federation that understands what it’s like to be young, even if half of us don’t look it!! After all we’ve all been there, even if for some of us it was a long time ago! We’re in touch; we play our X boxes, stay in touch with our Iphones and download our music – even if it to the kids it’s a little dated!

It’s our aim is to help groom these young athletes and give them and the sport and opportunity to become household names through sensible organisation and modern media. After all, children are our future - right?

To give the kids an opportunity to feel like a pro racer we’ve incorporated the Red Bull Elite Youth Cup with the Red Bull Pro Nationals to give a real bumper weekend of racing. So often kids are inspired by their heroes, well now they’ll have the opportunity to rub shoulders with some of them on race day and learn from the riders they aspire to be. It works two fold as they’ll also receive the same media attention which will also benefit them on a career path to become a pro themselves.

Over a Red Bull Pro Nationals weekends the Elite riders will race three races on the Saturday with their remaining two races on the Sunday.  As well as going for the championships in their respective classes the Red Bull Elite Youth Cup riders also have various holeshot awards on offer from our series partners and at each round one lucky rider will be selected by a MCF panel as one of nine official Fox Boot Camp winners where they will have a chance to be a fully supported Fox MX athlete for 2011.
